Lamellae separator
The lamellae separator is used to decant small solid particles present in the waste- or process water.
It exists of a tank containing corrugated lamellae to increase the decantation surface. The solid particles decant on these lamellae and are accumulated at the collecting cone. The resulting sludge is removed at regular intervals. It is possible to add flocculent to promote decantation of the particles.
When lots of oils, fats or other floating particles are present, the lamellae separator can be equipped with a scraper to remove the floating layers.
