Flotation drum
Ad Rem’s flotation drum is used to separate materials based on their densities. The material is inserted into a rotating drum. In this drum, a medium with a certain density is present.
Products lighter than the medium will stay afloat and leave the drum together with the medium. Products heavier than the drum will sink and be screwed out on the other side of the drum by means of an internal screw. This system enables the separation of rocks, aluminum, plastic, … from the product stream.
