Belt filter
The belt filter is used to remove solid particles from waste- and process water streams. The size of the particles that are sieved off depends on the mesh size of the chosen filter cloth.
The sieving of solid particles is done by means of a filter cloth that is used as a conveyor belt. The fluid flows through the cloth, leaving the solid particles behind on the cloth. These solid particles are brushed off when they reach the driving roll. After brushing, the filter cloth is cleaned by spraying nozzles. The resulting cleaning water is resent through the filter cloth.
